About
Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi plays Rachmaninoff with the New York Philharmonic, April 29–May 1, 2027, including a Friday 11am concert.
Piemontesi is a pianist's pianist — refined, unshowy, and a Rachmaninoff interpreter of unusual clarity. The Friday 11am concert is a Philharmonic tradition that lets you hear a full program and still have the afternoon in the city. Late April is when Lincoln Center's plaza is at its best. It's also the last subscription week before the Philharmonic's May run of Salonen, Uchida and Dudamel.
What to expect
A full orchestral program, about two hours with intermission.

Common questions
Which Rachmaninoff piece?
Not specified on the listing; a concerto or the Paganini Rhapsody is likeliest — check the orchestra's page.
Why an 11am concert?
The Philharmonic's Friday-morning series is long-running; it's the same program as the evenings.
