It is the most delicious cheap night in New York — dozens of countries' street food capped at about $6 a dish, in a park, with bands and a crowd that looks like Queens. Opening night draws the biggest lines of the year, so it is also the most electric. Entry is free; you pay only for what you eat. Bring friends, split dishes and treat the walk from the 7 train as part of the evening.
