David Byrne, cofounder of Talking Heads, has kept an art practice for decades, and at Pace he drew nine life-size figures right onto the stairwell landings so visitors would 'confront' them on the way up. They are surreal, playful and very much in the spirit of his stage work. Take the stairs instead of the elevator next time you are gallery-hopping in Chelsea.
