The Frick's renovated Gilded Age mansion holds some of the most famous Old Masters in the city, from Vermeer to Rembrandt to Holbein, and one Friday evening a month it all opens for free. Gallery talks run through the evening, live music fills the Garden Court and you can grab a drink or a bite. If the regular ticket has kept you away, this is the evening to finally walk those rooms.
What to expect
Enter on East 70th Street, pick up or show a timed ticket, and move through the mansion's period rooms and galleries at your own pace. Expect talks in the galleries, music in the skylit Garden Court and a lively after-hours crowd. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
