About
New York City Ballet opens its 2027 Spring Season with two all-Balanchine programs — Serenade, Symphony in C-era classics and more — at the David H. Koch Theater.
Balanchine is the reason NYCB exists and the spring opening weeks are the purest dose: Serenade, the company's founding ballet, and the sweeping Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet on alternating nights. Koch Theater's fourth ring is the best cheap seat in New York performing arts. If you see one ballet program all year, an all-Balanchine bill is the one.
What to expect
Mixed bills of three ballets with two intermissions, about two and a half hours. Evenings 7:30pm; weekend matinees 2pm. Live orchestra.
