About
Last call on 2-for-1 Broadway: Wicked, Hadestown, Oh, Mary! and 20-plus more at half price before the fall window slams shut this weekend.
Twice a year the tourism board pries Broadway's doors open at half price, and this is the closing weekend of the fall round. It's the best legitimate discount in theater — no lottery luck required, real seats you pick at checkout — and it spans both juggernauts and new arrivals. If a show has been sitting on your someday list, this weekend is the deadline that finally makes you book it.
What to expect
You book through the official NYC Tourism portal with the discount code, and eligible seats show up marked at checkout — quantities are capped, so popular titles thin out fast. Expect full houses across the Theater District all weekend as deal-hunters cram in the promotion's final performances.
Good to know
- Book through the official NYC Tourism site so the codes apply
- Not every seat qualifies — eligible sections appear at checkout
- Weekend matinees fill first; grab evening slots if you're flexible
- Most participating houses are a short walk from Times Sq-42nd St
- Check each show's age recommendation before bringing kids
