About
Former music director Zubin Mehta returns to the New York Philharmonic with pianist Yefim Bronfman for four performances at David Geffen Hall.
Mehta led this orchestra for thirteen years and every return is a homecoming with an audience that remembers. Bronfman is the Phil's most trusted piano partner, a powerhouse in Brahms, Prokofiev and Bartók. Two consecutive Mehta weeks make this the emotional center of the Phil's spring. With four performances including a Friday-morning matinee, it is one of the easiest big-name weeks to fit into a schedule.
What to expect
A full-length subscription program with intermission; the Friday 11am matinee is a Philharmonic tradition with an older, relaxed crowd.
