The David H. Koch Theater is a proscenium-style house with 2,550 seats on six levels, on the south side of the Lincoln Center Plaza at Columbus Avenue and 63rd Street, adjacent to the Metropolitan Opera House and David Geffen Hall. It was designed by architect Philip Johnson, opened on April 23, 1964, and is home to the New York City Ballet. The Box Office is in the lobby of the theater and lists hours for all seven days; you can also buy by phone at 212-496-0600. Take the 1 local train to 66th Street/Lincoln Center Station. Performances begin at the announced start time and there is no late seating, so latecomers wait for an intermission or a pause in the performance.
