House music with an actual ocean horizon behind the decks is a rare combination, and this Far Rockaway session delivers it free at O'Donohue Park — classics and house cuts rolling while the Atlantic does its thing a few yards away. The Beach 17th end of the peninsula is the Rockaways without the scene, which makes the party feel genuinely local. Take the ferry out and make a full beach-day of it.

What to expect

Expect DJs working through house and classic soul/disco selections into the early evening, a neighborhood crowd dancing and grilling nearby, and the boardwalk and beach right there for breaks. Sunset lands mid-session.
