About
Pianist-composer Angelica Sanchez convenes a nine-piece improvising ensemble at The Jazz Gallery.
A nonet gives Angelica Sanchez room to work with a broader instrumental palette than a conventional small jazz group. With piano, rhythm section, reeds and brass named on the bill, this confirmed Thursday engagement offers an ensemble-focused alternative to the night's many solo-fronted concerts.
