Saya Woolfalk has pulled works from the museum's own collection around the cosmos and the bond between people and nature,. Fourteen New York City high school students present their own take on the collection, and Alex Strada's Public Address puts voices from people in shelters onto signage in Joyce Kilmer Park. If you want an art opening with no ticket, no dress code and the artists in the room, this is the one.
What to expect
Galleries open for an evening of viewing, with the artists and organizers on hand to talk about the work and complimentary drinks and bites. Registration is optional and drop-ins are welcome, and the Strada installation sits a short walk away in Joyce Kilmer Park across from the museum.
