Bogart and Mee have been making theatre together since bobrauschenbergamerica, and here they put it outdoors on a Brooklyn plaza with Machine Dazzle costumes competing with the traffic. It is free, it is three nights, and it treats the city itself as the set. If you would rather spend an October evening watching strangers fall in love in public than sitting in a Midtown balcony, go early and stand close.
What to expect
An outdoor performance on the plaza at 300 Ashland Place, running three evenings at 7:30pm with no ticket required. Expect elaborate costumes, live original songs and a crowd that forms around the playing area rather than sitting in rows. Street noise is part of the piece.
