For the 16th year, Fort Greene's Greenlight Bookstore turns into a party for the borough's independent presses and literary magazines. You get a drink in hand, a curated soundtrack and editors and authors happy to talk about what they are publishing. If you want the festival's social side before the big Sunday, RSVP and go.
What to expect
A crowded, friendly bookstore after hours, with publisher tables, conversation and music, plus a raffle for a gift bag of featured books and magazines. People drift between the shelves and publisher displays, and it is an easy place to strike up a conversation with an editor or debut author.
