Giglio bands are the sound of Italian-American feast days, and hearing one on a closed Mulberry Street is the most authentically old-New-York forty-five minutes of the run. It sits right before the evening crowd peaks.

What to expect

A brass band set on the street, about forty-five minutes, immediately before the Saturday evening programming.

Good to know

  • Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston is the main stretch
  • Canal Street on the 6, N/Q/R/W or J/Z for the southern end; Spring Street on the 6 is quieter
  • Free to attend — food and games are paid at the stall
