Now in its 51st year, this juried show fills one of the city's prettiest waterside parks with more than 100 regionally and nationally celebrated artists selling one-of-a-kind paintings, photographs, and sculpture. It's the weekend's biggest outdoor art fair, strolled against East River views along the Carl Schurz promenade. Every dollar of proceeds goes straight back into the park's upkeep and restoration.
What to expect
Artist booths line the park paths from East End Avenue at 86th Street, with work spanning painting, photography, and sculpture at a wide range of prices. Volunteers run free kids' workshops from 10 AM to noon in the playground's Catbird section — a Pollinators of the Park project Saturday, bird-and-tree collaging Sunday. The show runs rain or shine both days.
