New York City sits on Lenapehoking, and this new show hands the story to Lenape/Lunáapeew artists and community members, with work by more than 30 artists, rarely seen objects, personal testimonies and interactive listening stations. Its three sections move from the Lunáapeew today to homelands to creating the future. If you have ever wondered who was here before New Amsterdam, this is the weekend it opens.

The exhibition moves through three sections: The Lunáapeew Today, Homelands and Creating the Future. Expect contemporary artworks beside archival material, video and listening stations, with themes of land stewardship, language revitalization and life after removal.
