Tarik Jeremiah Brown has turned Wave Hill's Sunroom into Hush Harbor, a contemporary take on the secret gathering places where enslaved people worshipped, built from sculpture, moving image and sound. Camille Cooper's SHOWPIECE fills the Sun Porch with sculptural insects fabricated from hormone replacement therapy packaging, using entomology to examine how trans people are scrutinized. If you want to hear both artists explain these works in the rooms they made, come for this afternoon.

Brown's talk opens the program, followed by Cooper's an hour later, each including conversation and activation of the works on view. Afterward the gardens and Hudson River views are yours to wander.
