On one Saturday, Park Slope's brownstone blocks turn into a giant coordinated stoop sale, with clothes, books, plants, sports gear and snacks spread down front steps across the neighborhood. A shared map of registered stoops lets you plan a route instead of wandering blind. If you love a bargain and a very Brooklyn afternoon, grab a tote and go.
What to expect
You'll stroll tree-lined side streets between Prospect Park and Fifth Avenue, stopping at stoops set up as mini shops, free piles and hangouts. Expect neighbors chatting on their steps, free boxes on the sidewalk and plenty of secondhand treasure.
