Jackson Heights' 34th Avenue Open Street becomes a climate festival for the day: 45 designers compete in a sustainable fashion awards show, chalk murals spread across the pavement, and clothing swaps and music ring Travers Park. Built by Make Justice Normal, Street Works and 40+ partners like WE ACT, it takes Climate Week out of conference rooms and onto a neighborhood street. If you want a free, hands-on Queens afternoon, this is it.

Expect partner tables lining the Open Street next to Travers Park, with hands-on art-making, chalk murals and community mapping alongside climate workshops and mental wellness activities.
