OktoberfestWaterfrontClosing weekend

Franklin Point on the Greenpoint waterfront becomes a Bavarian beer hall with four Festbiers poured by the liter: Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, HB Traunstein and Schneider Weisse. Pork shank, Obazda cheese spread, giant imported pretzels and rotisserie chicken come to the tables while a band plays, and a separate rooftop biergarten looks out over the skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge. If you do one ticketed Oktoberfest in the city, make it this closing weekend.

What to expect

Pick your ticket type before you arrive: general seating is first come first served inside, reserved seating puts your group near the stage, and the rooftop has its own bar and umbrella-covered tables. Saturdays split into an early and a late session, with the room cleared between them.

Good to know

  • The venue is at 12 Franklin Street in Greenpoint; the G to Greenpoint Av is the closest subway, and the NYC Ferry stops at Greenpoint.
  • Saturdays run as two separate seated sessions, so check which one your ticket covers.
  • Rooftop tickets do not include the main room, and main-room tickets lose roof access if it sells out.
  • Groups should book reserved seating to guarantee sitting together.
  • HB Traunstein is also poured in a non-alcoholic version.
  • The rooftop is umbrella-covered and open rain or shine.

Going? Keep it.
