The New York City Marathon first went through all five boroughs in 1976, and NYRR is marking 50 years with a special Open Run in each borough; Queens gets Astoria Park. The free 5K loop passes the city's oldest and largest pool with views of the Manhattan skyline and the Hell Gate and RFK bridges. If you run, walk or just want to cheer a few weeks before marathon day, this is a friendly Saturday morning.
