Fertile Ground has given more than 50 choreographers a year a stage for two decades, and this evening's six are Allie Linn, Aubrey Mailloux, Faythe Kelley, FishFranklin, Laura Espitia with Heather Lake, and Liron Kichler. Because it is non-curated, you see work at every stage, then join a conversation with the artists. If you want to discover the next wave of downtown and Queens dance up close, this is a cheap front-row seat.
What to expect
The showcase takes place in Green Space's studio on 24th Street, with six short pieces performed back to back. Afterward, choreographers, dancers and audience members stay for a moderated discussion over wine.
