NYCC turns 20 with a Coney Island theme, Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid and Percy Jackson and Spider-Man panels at the Javits Center.

New York Comic Con's 20th edition takes over the Javits Center with a Coney Island theme, an Artist Alley, the Crown Championships of cosplay and a panel slate spanning Percy Jackson season 3 with Walker Scobell, Marvel, DC's Absolute Universe, ONE PIECE and Bob's Burgers. Guests include Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Lena Headey, Matt Smith, Frank Miller and Rick Riordan. If Saturday is sold out for you, Friday and Sunday still carry headline panels.

What to expect

Expect badge scanning lines on 11th Avenue, a show floor crowded with exhibitor booths and exclusives, and cosplayers everywhere from the Javits steps to the 7 train. Big panels in the main stages fill fast, so fans queue early for the rooms they care about most.

Good to know

  • The 7 train's 34 St–Hudson Yards station is a short walk from the Javits entrance.
  • Some badge types are already sold out, so check which days still have single-day badges before you plan.
  • Popular panels fill well before start time, so plan your must-see rooms first and eat between them.
  • Bring a portable charger — the app, photos and ticket scans drain phones quickly.
  • Costume props are subject to the convention's weapons policy; check it before building your cosplay.
  • The final day is a shorter show day and tends to suit families.

Going? Keep it.
