Every participating shop builds one slice it would not otherwise put on the counter, which turns an ordinary afternoon of walking around into a genuine tasting route you can string together by subway stop. There is no ticket, no reservation and no app — you walk in, order the signature slice, scan the code and vote, and for each specialty slice sold the organisers donate to Slice Out Hunger. The run ends October 4, so this is the last window to get a vote in before the citywide winner is called.
What to expect
Walk into a participating pizzeria and order that shop's designated signature slice at the counter, alongside its normal menu. A QR code at the shop takes you to the rating form; one rating per shop per day counts. Expect ordinary slice-shop lines rather than an event setup.
Good to know
- There is no ticket or reservation — you simply order at the counter and pay for what you eat.
- Only the shop's designated signature slice counts toward the vote.
- One rating per shop per day is allowed, so plan a route rather than doubling back.
- Participating shops span Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens; check the roster before setting off.
- For each specialty slice sold, up to 250 per shop, the organisers donate to Slice Out Hunger.
