Astoria Park sits beneath the Hell Gate and RFK bridges, and for a three-week series the park's alliance has set out free craft tables led by Artstoria New York and local artist Ashley King McCarty. This is the last session, and it is designed for drop-ins: stay ten minutes or two hours. If you have kids, or just like making things outside with a view of the East River, wander over.
What to expect
Expect craft tables with materials and an artist guiding simple projects that people of any age can join. There is no set start, so families come and go through the afternoon while enjoying the rest of the park.
