Sixteen-millimetre projection in a public park is an increasingly rare thing to stumble into, and Garibaldi Plaza — the raised corner under the plane trees on the park's east side — is about the best-sized outdoor room in Manhattan for it. The Prohibition-jazz framing ties the programme to the Village's own speakeasy history, a block or two from where most of it happened.
