The Infinite Wrench is a race against a timer: 30 tiny plays, funny, sincere, gross, topical or sung, all drawn from the performers' own lives. At the end the audience rolls a die on stage, and the total decides how many plays get cut and replaced with brand-new ones the next week. The company has premiered more than 7,750 plays, so if you like comedy that feels live in the most literal sense, go late on a weekend.
What to expect
The cast sprints from one short play to the next while a clock runs, shifting from comedy to confession to song. Asylum's 150-seat theater keeps you close, and its cocktail bar stays open before and after.
