Italian Festival at The Mount (Staten Island Italian Feast)

Rides, sangria gardens, eating contests and a fireworks show make this Staten Island's biggest Italian feast, all Columbus Day weekend.

Four days of rides, games, beer and sangria gardens, live music and Italian food fill the grounds of The Mount, with a fireworks display the second night. It is Staten Island's own Columbus Day weekend feast, run by Catholic Charities, and the $5 gate goes to its programs. If you want a San Gennaro-style night without the Mulberry Street crush, this is the one.

What to expect

You pay a small gate and parking fee, then wander a fairground of rides and games, food vendors, a music stage and beer and sangria gardens. Eating competitions run through the weekend, and the crowd peaks for the fireworks.

Good to know

  • Driving is easiest; parking is on site for a fee
  • Tickets and parking can be bought ahead online or at the door
