Jimmy Chin has climbed Everest with a camera and won an Oscar for filming Alex Honnold's rope-free ascent of El Capitan, and his new book collects ten conversations with icons from Honnold and Simone Biles to Yo-Yo Ma about how to live and endure. At the Strand he talks through what those people taught him. If adventure stories and hard-won life advice are your thing, this is the weekend's standout book event.

What to expect
