Q.E.D. is Astoria's independent, woman-owned arts space, and QED Presents is its flagship stand-up night, booked in-house with comics who also work the big Manhattan clubs. The Saturday late show includes veteran club comic Moody McCarthy alongside Shatha Yas and a tight run of club regulars. If you live in Queens and are tired of taking the train to the Village for good comedy, this is your neighborhood room.
What to expect
Q.E.D. is a small neighborhood arts space with a bar and a stage, drawing a local crowd that fills in fast. Expect five comics doing strong club sets back to back. Buying ahead saves a few dollars over the door price.
