Queens Jesters is a free Friday stand-up night in Astoria from two comedy production crews, Comedy Mob and Phat Set. Q.E.D. is Queens' woman-owned indie arts space, a Time Out reader favorite, and it has a neighborhood feel Manhattan clubs rarely match. If you live in Astoria or want a cheap Friday before dinner on Ditmars, this is an easy yes.
What to expect
A casual showcase of stand-up comics in Q.E.D.'s small performance room with a bar in the front space. Expect a mix of working New York comics, a relaxed crowd, and a lineup that is not posted in advance.
