For two hours at midday, a group prays the rosary aloud in Sohncke Square, the fenced lawn-and-bench plaza at Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside Avenue and 58th Street, a Woodside town square since 1922. Recently restored in a 2024 renovation, it's named for Sgt. Carl R. Sohncke, killed in France in World War I.
