Spoons Toons & Booze is the Brooklyn ritual that turns a movie theater into your childhood living room, with a free all-you-can-eat bar of sugary cereals and a Fruity Pebbles-infused cocktail. This edition goes back to school, pulling cafeteria chaos, playground drama and pop quizzes from decades of cartoons. If your ideal weekend morning is cereal, cartoons and a drink, this is it.

What to expect

You settle into Nitehawk's dine-in seats, load up at the cereal bar with dairy or alternative milks, and watch a curated reel of school-themed cartoon episodes. Hosts Michael Austin and Nell Casey run cartoon trivia and contests with prizes between segments. The whole show lasts about two hours.

Good to know

  • The cereal bar is included with your ticket; cocktails and food from the menu are extra.
  • Nitehawk Williamsburg is on Metropolitan Avenue near the Bedford Av (L) stop.
  • It is a recurring monthly-style series with a different theme each edition, and it often sells out.
  • Alcohol is served, so check Nitehawk's age policy before bringing kids; there is a separate all-ages edition.
  • Seats are reserved, so book online.
