Robots, 3D printers, homemade instruments and oddball engineering fill the Coney Island Amphitheater, and most of it is built to be touched, tried or taken apart. It is a non-vending show, so the tables are about makers explaining what they built rather than selling, and this year high schoolers are running it for the first time. If you have a kid who takes apart the toaster, bring them here and let them solder something.
What to expect
Maker booths and demonstrations run across the amphitheater grounds, with workshops, classes, panels and competitions through the day. Expect a soldering booth, interactive installations and robotics alongside art and craft tables. It runs rain or shine, a short walk from the boardwalk.
