CABAL is a character-comedy relay: 14 writer-performers whose credits include Dropout, What We Do in the Shadows, The Rehearsal and The Tonight Show each bring a brand-new solo character. One minute it is a would-be gay pop star, the next a romantasy heroine or a guy making champagne the worst way possible. If you like sketch more than stand-up, this is the tightest hour at UCB this weekend.
What to expect
A fast 60-minute show of solo sketches on the 14th Street Mainstage, one performer and one character at a time, with quick changes between pieces. The cast is large, so the pace rarely lets up, and the material is all new each month, so even regulars see something fresh.
