Rocío García has painted in Havana for five decades, filling canvases with figures on society's margins caught in noirish, comic and erotic standoffs with authority. Novelist Carmen Maria Machado, known for body horror and queer speculative fiction, guest-curated this show at SoHo's museum dedicated to art by queer artists.
