On Saturdays this fall The Rutherford's roof becomes a beer hall with liter steins of Oktoberfest lager, Bavarian pretzels with mustard and sausage boards, steps from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. It is built for groups heading to a game or catching a train who want an Oktoberfest stop without traveling downtown. If your weekend plans put you near MSG, raise a stein here first.
What to expect
Head up to the rooftop bar, where German-style lagers pour all day during regular house hours. Expect a sports-bar energy, group tables and a food menu of pretzels, bratwurst and bar bites.
